Vegan Chocolate and Peanut Butter Smoothie

Chocolate-y, creamy, rich and delicious - what more could you ask for?! This smoothie is all of those things, plus vegan, sugar free and gluten free.


  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 cups vegan milk (homemade almond milk is delicious in this recipe!)
  • 2 1/2 tbs cacao
  • 2 tbs peanut butter, or to taste
  • 2 tbs date paste, or to taste
  • 1 tbs chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp ground vanilla beans
  • Cacoa nibs and extra peanut butter, if desired


  • Place all ingredients in a blender and mix for 2 minutes, or until smooth
  • Sprinkle with cacao nibs and extra peanut butter if desired!
  • Notes
  • Date paste can be made by placing dates in a food processor (adding water if needed) until a smooth paste is formed
